How to Change Your Password

By Edouard • Last updated on Jan 15, 2024

Keeping your account secure is crucial, and changing your password regularly is a key part of that. Whether you're logged in or need to reset your password, domainbear makes the process straightforward. Here's how you can update your password, depending on your current access status.

Changing Your Password (Logged-In Users)

If you're already logged into your account, changing your password is a few clicks away:

  1. Go to the Security Page: Visit the Account Security Page at Account Security. This is your hub for all security-related settings.

  2. Enter Your New Password: You'll see an option to enter a new password. Remember to follow these password requirements for your safety:

    • Minimum of 8 characters - the longer, the better.

    • At least one uppercase and one lowercase letter.

    • Include at least one number, symbol, or special character.

  3. Confirm Your Password: Enter your new password again for confirmation.

  4. Save the Changes: Once you've entered and confirmed your new password, click 'Save.' Your password will be updated instantly.

Resetting Your Password (Non-Logged-In Users)

If you're not logged in or have forgotten your password:

  1. Visit the Forgot Password Page: Head over to Forgot Password.

  2. Enter Your Email: Submit the email associated with your account. You'll receive an email with instructions to create a new password.

Special Note for Google Account Users

If you created your account using Google, you initially don’t need a separate password for domainbear:

  • Logging In: Simply click "Continue with Google" to access your account.

  • Setting Up a Password: You can still create a password for your account, which gives you the option to log in with your Google email and the newly set password or continue using Google sign-in.

Conclusion

Whether you're enhancing security or recovering access, changing your password is a vital part of maintaining your domainbear account. For any assistance or queries, our support team is just a message away.
